Learning Goals for LKG (Lower Kindergarten) students. These goals define what students should learn, explore, and practice over the academic year in English, Maths, Hindi, and General Awareness through interactive and age-appropriate methods.

English Language Goals
LKG students will:
Recognize and write capital and small letters (A–Z, a–z)
Identify vowels and consonants and their sounds
Use A/An appropriately before nouns
Understand and use This/That, These/Those in daily conversation
Group related words (e.g., bat, ball, boy – B words)
Identify and use One and Many (e.g., apple/apples)
Recognize colors and describe objects using color names
Understand and use opposite words (e.g., big–small, hot–cold)
Identify common contrasting concepts: day–night, left–right, in–out, etc.
Learn and demonstrate action words through activities (e.g., run, jump, eat, dance)
Develop picture-word association skills through picture recognition
Engage in story time to build comprehension, imagination, and expression
Mathematics Goals
LKG students will:
Recognize, read, and write numbers 1 to 100
Identify and name 2D shapes: circle, square, triangle, heart, star, oval, etc.
Learn number names 1 to 10
Understand and practice:
• What comes after / before / between
• Ascending and descending order
• Backward counting (50 to 1)
Match numbers and fill missing numbers
Count objects and write corresponding numbers
Begin comparing values using greater than, less than concepts
Develop pattern recognition and matching skills
General Awareness Goals
LKG students will:
Identify and name parts of the body
Name and classify fruits, vegetables, foods, and beverages
Recognize animals, birds, and insects
Identify clothes, toys, flowers, and electrical appliances
Understand indoor vs outdoor games
Recognize action pictures and perform related movements
Identify popular cartoon characters and basic features

LKG students will:

Improve Hindi vocabulary and recognition skills
Begin forming simple oral and written sentences in Hindi
Rhymes (Hindi & English) Goals
LKG students will:
Recite popular English and Hindi rhymes with correct rhythm and expression
Perform rhymes using actions and facial expressions
Build listening, memory, and speaking skills through repetition and music
Understand the meaning and theme of rhymes
Physical, Social & Emotional Goals
LKG students will:
